
Stretching to increase flexibility and mobility can be extremely effective after
injury or for people with restricted movement. One to one sessions in the comfort
of your own home accompanied by advice about stretches to practice regularly.
Muscles become tense and contracted during exercise, and stretching encourages blood to flow back to them, maintaining suppleness.
As well as loosening your joints, stretching can also help you to unwind and relieve stress. Specially designed stretching sessions take you through a variety of deep stretches accompanied by relaxing music. Movements are carefully balanced, for example a forward bend to stretch out the spine will be followed by a backward bend, as it is important to maintain equilibrium.
